Celebrating Women on the Farm
| Posted in: News
In the most recent USDA Census of Agriculture, women accounted for about 36% of agricultural producers. At RDO, our female team members work every day to grow the highest quality crops for our customers. From farm administrators to agronomists, our diverse team works together in the fields and in the office to grow food for families across the world. To celebrate Women in Ag Day, we are highlighting just a few of the amazing women we have on our team.

Heather Robinson, Wadena Office Administrator
Heather works as the Office Administrator at our Wadena farm, where she has been a dedicated team member for 13 years. She began at the farm in high school, working during the summer months. Several years later, Heather and her husband moved back to the area, and she took on the role of farm groundskeeper. This experience eventually led into her current position, where she manages business operations of the farm. Growing up on a farm, Heather has always been passionate about animals and agriculture. She cherishes the opportunity to work in the industry, and said her favorite part is working outside and enjoying everything God has made for us.
“I continue to learn new things every year and enjoy being able to watch the crop grow and see the bounty as it comes in on the trucks at harvest," Heather said.
Darcy Jasmer, Staples Farm Administrator
Darcy has been an integral part of the team for 14 years, playing many roles at our Staples farm. Throughout her tenure with RDO, she has held various positions. Darcy initially joined the team to assist with harvest, sampling, and gathering potatoes for testing. She then took on the responsibility of operating the truck scale, a task she continues to manage today, along with running the lab. In her role, Darcy's daily activities vary depending on the season. She expresses her enthusiasm for her work, saying she loves working mostly outdoors.
"I’m never quite sure what the day will be like, new tasks and ideas are always popping up and keeping me on my toes," Darcy said.

Natasha Marohl, Senior Financial Planning Analyst
Growing up, Natasha spent her younger days on her family's farm, helping with tasks like cleaning grain bins, baling hay, and riding in the combine. Today, she plays a pivotal role on our farm financial team as the Senior Financial Planning Analyst, where she works directly with our farm teams on budgets and special projects. Natasha began her career in healthcare finance, but seeking a change, she joined the RDO team five years ago. She says her favorite part about working in agriculture is that she enjoys the group she works with and supports, and she learns something new every day.
“Working for a company that helps feed the world is so fulfilling," Natasha said.
Today, we celebrate Heather, Darcy, Natasha and all the amazing women on our RDO team. These women are part of our family and we are proud of our team members who come together every day to produce high quality, sustainable crops for millions to enjoy on their families' tables.
